yeah, I kept in for about 2 years and it grew like crazy. it was wild caught as a baby and then released 2 years later into the same pond I caught it. It was over a foot long when I let it go. here are some pics from the day I let it go:

Yeah, the biggest one is the ally snapper that was 140lbs (and that is small for an adult M. temminckii). The smallest (the Peninsula Cooter) was only just bigger than a quarter and only weighed a few onces.
 
WOW what is the turtle in the 5º photo Snakeguy? Is that a young Leucocephalon yuwonoi the Sulawesi wood turtle or another really rare and cool asian species like a rarer Heosemys?
 
yep, that was at the atlanta zoo. I helped out a buddy there every now and then and got to work with some cool stuff. Top notch facility there and I highly recommend it to everyone who has the chance to go.
