So i know that dry dosing with ferts is the most inexpensive route and im planning on ordering some ferts from greenleafaquarium.com but what exactly do i need? Do i really need to dose nitrates if have a reasonable amount of fish? From what ive read it seems as if i'd be okay ordering just csm+b, k2so4, and kh2po4. My tank is a 36"-10"-17" 26g, lighting is a 2 bulb 36" HOt5 fixture, CO2 will be coming from one or 2 diy co2 bottles and substrate is eco complete.

we just talked about them a few days ago lol ---> http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=342825

as for dosing, check out that thread and go by the EI (estimative index). the idea is to dose excess amounts and reset the levels with a big water change every week. once the plants start to grow, chances are you will need to dose nitrates. i wouldnt cut this out unless you have a massive bio load that gives you big nitrate levels. low nitrate levels can cause algae, like blue-green algae (BGA)

Perfect thanks for the help
