I've noticed many members also have a love for fishing so let's talk about fishing gear. Rods, Reels, Storage, etc. Freshwater, saltwater, any kind of fishing you enjoy. Post some of your favorite gear, anything new you've been trying out, or plan on trying out in the future.

I'll start with the setup that I've probably gotten the most use out of. Being a younger angler, still in college, most of my rod and reel setups aren't extremely high end, but I try my best to get quality gear. The reel is a Shimano Curado 200k HG. I've had this reel for almost 3 years now. I managed to get a fantastic deal on it, ended up paying half price at Dick's Sporting Goods because someone stole the tension knob, which was only a couple of bucks. So far its been a fantastic reel. I use this reel multiple times a week during the spring, summer, and fall. It has some scratches and scuffs but other than that it genuinely feels brand new. Pretty much the entire time I've had the reel it's been paired with a Dobyns Fury 734, which has also been an amazing rod for the around $100 price tag. Dobyns claims the rod is a 7'3 heavy but in reality it is more of a medium-heavy rod. Most of the time I'm using it for jigs and texas rigs and It's usually the first rod/reel combo that I go to grab.tempImages7qVTK.jpg
Unrelated to the performance of the rod and reel but earlier this year I took this setup on a short trip to Lake Sidney Lanier in Georgia with my father where we were able to catch quite a bit of our first ever spotted bass, most of mine being on this setup. An amazing trip, so there is some sentimental value as well.
