Letter about car manufacturing warranty scam company?

Ok, so every so often I get letters from random companies telling me about how they can extend my car manufacturing warranty on my car.. I junk them and move on..

But today...

I get this letter... only has my name on the front.. so, I open it.

It is another one about my car manufacturing warranty.. except, it listed not MY car, but my fiance's car.

My name is not on his vehicle and we don't even have the same car insurance..

How the heck did they get this information?? It was the correct yr, make, model, and color.

Nope. He had the SUV before he met me. And the truck is paid in full.

haha, it is set to private.. but I don't have anything about his car on their either. haha.

It might be related to one of those privacy notice that companies send you when you buy a car or take out a loan / bank account. If you don't fill that form out and send it back right away, they have the right to sell your info to other financial institutions.

It could be that...but this is NOT my car. I have nothing on this car.. My name is on nothing. My fiance had this 3 years before we met.

Hell, the car I drive isn't even in my name either.

Therefore, the letter I got makes no sense.
