Just got a young Endlicheri from the fish store for 20 dollars because of the death of a Coral Beauty Angelfish from my salt tank for no reason of my own. I thought his color was just faded from being in a bare bottom at the store and took him home. I have black and red flourite in the bottom of my tank and all my other bichirs have darkened up significantly because of this. He, however, has not over a 48 hour period and has remained extremely white with black markings and eyes.

So here's some photos, and I was wondering if anyone could give their opinion on the matter... he's wild caught, according to the seller, which makes it all the more interesting.

Anyways, I'm kind of hoping he is, but at the same time I realize this all may just be a false alarm. Any opinions are appreciated.

I agree^^.

hes not lucsitic cause if he was, there would be no pattern on him. You might get a really cool colored endlie but he'll probably get darker with time.

Nice endy with good strips pattern. My best guess is that it is light brown colour. Give it some time to revert to is original colour.

When I bought my 2 Endli's it took about 2 weeks for the big one to darken up and it's been over a month and my little one is still on the lightish side. Just give em some time :)

Now the big one is almost black!

Hey Pena, thanks for NOT friending me on MFK :P hahaha

Little guy does look good though, better than the picture you sent on the phone
