Leucistic HRP's with fry

yes they will be wight i think unless they carry other genes mabye they can get molted like convicts i think you need a normal one a wight one to make marbles but wierd stuff can happen
 
fathers trait and i believe they could turn out some trait im not sure
 
The fry will be leucistic if both parents are, I've got 3 broods of these beauties now. Also have leucistic x normal, all of which look like normal HRP.

yeah, both parents are Leucistic. I sort of thought they would all be white but i thought i read somewhere that Leucistic was sort of a sporadic accurance.
 
yeh i think leucistic thats like XanthicxXAnthic would make more Xanthics?
 
Hi Driftwood. I asked Jeff Rapps about these when I first bought them, he says they were a spontaneous mutation but occurred in more than one pair of normal HRP. I assume from this that the leucistic gene was present in a fish (wild?) used as a source for commercial breeding stock and now it surfaces from time to time as related fish are bred back together.
