I have no idea what to call this fish but I know for sure that it is lighter than any ornate I ever owned.
The fish does not seem faded as the dorsal fin is really black, which creates a great contrast.

here is a comparison with a regular ornate.

any opinions? ugly, interesting, rare, common etc lol
I just wanna know what to make of this fish.

I have no idea what it is, but i'd rather have a regular one... BUT since you already have a normal one and if had one as well I'd like it just as much! If you get what i mean.

Things don't always come out as good as they sound in your head....

I agree that I like the regular ornate better, so does my brother.
The light color did make it stand out from the others litter mates I raised with it; which is why I kept it.

Just curious what is a good price for a 5" ornate? I saw one for sale for $30, idk if that is considered pricey.

any pics? what size is it? and how much did u pay for it?
It's a lot of questions I know lol

Also have a light colored female, not sure if its as light as yours, but I do see light colored ones occassionally.

Mine was very dark, then moved him to white sand and looks like this.

interesting, i kinda like the look but i doubt it stays like that forever.
