I recently obtained a leucitic swamp eel. There seems to be no info on the care of these things on the web

-The one thing I know is these guys can get huge, so dont worry i have the means to house it

Any help on getting info on captive care or any info period would be awesome..

never herd or seen those before

They are not really a high maintenance fish as they can survive in stagnant water and even colf temp but not too cold. They are very hardy fish and unpredictable and act like african lungfish. They are also air breather with a single gill hole on the bottom of the trout. When I first saw mine, I thought something took a chunk out of it but it was actually the gill hole. They stay motionless and waits for its prey to be capture or during night time it will sneak attack the prey. You must have a tight cover lid as it's an escape artist and have powerful body muscles that able to left lids if not heavy enough. Very cool fish to own and train it to be hand feed as I notice mine it lessen the aggression. They are more aggressive when they are shy and will bite anything that gets near.
