I have a 180 with some SA fish (Black widows, bgk, spotted metynnis) and I have 5 leucos in there. They are the only cichlids and have been together since they were under 2 inches. There are 2 males, one about 6inch and one about 5inch and 3 females about 4 inch. Lately I have noticed that the larger male and one of the females seem to swin about the tank while the other male and two femles have slightly torn fins and hang out down the end of the tank almost all the time( they used to spend all there time sifting sand, although there was always some aggression issues it was never this bad)
I havent seen any other behaviour that suggests the larger male and female have paired up, he just seems to tolerate her when she swims near him. Would geting say 5 or 6 juvenile leucos from the lfs diffuse the agression? (bear in mind they would be about 2 inches)

OK. I thought they didn't really pair up like CA cichlids, just breed and then go back to being part of the group?. I can put the other 3 into another tank but its going to be a mish to catch them with all the driftwood. I don't think there will be any chance of eggs surviving with 2 bgks and a raphael cat in the tank, but I do have a small tank I'm growing out some baby whiptails in that I guess I could put eggs in a net inside that tank.
