I recently treated all my fish for Camallanus worms using Levamisole HCL (yesterday morning) and noticed my Delhizii bichir seemed to be hemorraging... don't know if that's spelled right! Anyway he was swimming funny and would lay upside down and spasm so I watched him closely and noticed he had clouded over eyes and his dorsal rays all were bloodshot red with small bloodclots in them. He died this morning and I didn't have time to cut him open and see if he was infested with worms. Does anyone know if this is common with these worms or did he die from an asfixiation problem being a lung fish? All other fish are active and happy. Including the loaches and cichlids I originally saw worms protruding from... Thanks!

I believe he was killed by the Levamisole itself and not worms because he was growing incredibly fast and never showed signs of parasites or loss of appetite. He grew probably 6 inches in the last 2 months and was looking great, acting normal, stalking other fish, he was just great! I'm afraid I may have killed him with the Levamisole treatment! It sucks! Is there anyone on here who has used Levamisole regularly as a treatment of parasites? Your input would be greatly appreciated!
