To start, no I don't want to destroy the aquarium. LOL I am getting a 85G tank and I need this thing to be prefectly level. Now I have a wooden aquarium stand that it will fit on. One of the corners of the stand is a little, well, brokenish. I will add a picture. The thing I'm affraid of is that its a old house and the floors in the house are, well, a little off set. Is their a way for my tank to be level on such a surface?

i had the same problem with my 120g. wat i did i just added cardboard under the spot where its uneven and fill up like 25% then add more cardboard until its even. it worked with my 120 it should easily work for ur 85g.

wat type of flooring do u have???

pics don't show. i agree with the abouve my tank is only a 20g and it isn't a fish tank.

I have carpet as my floor. The cardboard thing sounds good.

Thanks

Wooden door shims (HD/Lowes) For shimming door frames to openings.
Drive them under the stand a little at a time until level with a hammer and short length of flat 2x4, and break off the excess even with the stand after it's level.
Cardboard may work when empty, but will crush with the water weight and end up not so level when filled, thus having to start all over with an empty unlevel tank to compensate for crush.
Same for carpet (which crushes). Adding more crushable material between the stand and carpet sometime just compounds the issue.
