Leveling new tank & stand

Trying to setup my 125g, but I have a problem

4' of the tank is linoleum, the other 2' is on the carpet. There is also a metal piece on the edge of the carpet.

Any suggestions on how to go about getting it level?

Take out the trim piece and tack strip that goes towards the carpet. Then see if there is a way to evenly transition the tank onto the carpet which I am assuming is lower (Try thin wood or stand shims if needed. All in all sounds like a PITA to me but im really anal about my tanks being level.

Probably a pain but he gave very sound advice. I keep shims around my house just for my aquariums. Removing that carpet linoleum divider is going to be a must though.
