Hi, I’m after some advice with setting up my new and biggest tank yet! Which I bought as a treat for the new house. I’ve doubled up in volume to a 5ft x1.5 deep x2.5 tall, it works out around 550 litres.
Around 600 kilos once it’s full- it’s on the ground floor, concrete so the weight on the floor is fine, but it’s really uneven, I was amazed to find that the tank is level left to right but it tilts forwards so I need to raise the front edge by around 6mm

due to the design of the stand that came with the tank I feel
Uneasy just chucking some packers under the front as it is a similar footprint to that of flatpack furniture (particle board) and want the weight evenly distributed.
My idea is to use some 18mm marine ply for the stand to sit on and then use packers under the ply as this way I can have the whole base of the stand touching a flat surface and then use packers between the floor and the ply, where I can use a few to distribute the weight ( I hope
This is still making sence?)

Has anyone done similar to this and do you think that the ply will be strong enough? I’d probably end up with packers every 6 inch or so at the front and then some smaller ones I can jam in half way for extra support.

I think so. I would level at the corners and then add some weight to the tank so nothing moves. Once you've added weight start adding shims/packers by slidding them in till they just get snug. GL
But this too :worthlesswithoutpic:
