I apologize in advance if I have posted this in the wrong forum, Please move if wrong forum.
Today, I went to a LFS that I have done much business with before. Just last week I spend over $400.00 in some fish and other stuff. They have 2 Para Pleco L-075s offering at $69.95
that I have seen for the past couple of weeks. They look beautiful and have beautiful colors on them but I have noticed sunken stomach on both of them. They are in a tank with some Royal plecos and some other fish like Danios or something like that.
Today, I noticed at least 3 DEAD Danios ( or whatever small fish it is they keep in the same tank ) and 4 strings of white stringy poop in the tank and all the Royals with kind of badly sunken stomachs.
Being a Pleco lover, I asked if I will get a little bit of discount on the Paras ( They are overpriced and not that healthy looking ) and also made the cardinal sin of mentioning the sunken stomach and the stringy white poop. The guy asked the manager and he was not willing to give any discounts even the change ( Snook has 3 pack for $60.00 plus $35.00 shipping = Total $95.00 for 3 healthy ones since I have purchased fish from him before and everybody on this forum knows his reputation for selling very healthy fish ).
I did mention to him that I am a regular customer who normally gets a 10% discount and that I purchased over $400.00 stuff from his store last week only and besides his Plecos are not the healthiest, but he walked away saying NO DISCOUNT. I asked one of the other guys if there is some wrong with the manager or him not having a good day and that I will not be back to their store anymore.
His answer was BYE, we do not need your business.
I left but I will never be back to that store ever again.
