Hey all.
So my LFS got three 4-bar dats in and they're all still pretty juvenile. I wouldn't put them over 2.5" each.
I've got a 150 gallon tank currently housing a 5-6" pike cichlid (crenicichla johanna), a 5" 4-bar Dat and a 6" Jade Goby.
I guess my questions are: can you put smaller dats in a tank with a larger dat of the same species?
Has anyone kept datnoids with pike cichlids before? I've got one of each together now, and the pike cichlid occasionally spooks the dat but they're about the same size and nothing ever comes of it. Would the pike cichlid make a quick lunch of the smaller dats if I picked them up?
Thanks for any advice you can give me.
