I guess Vaine is right...a place near me has em at that size for $39.99.They were all pale and washed out but they looked to be the classic multi barred type.
That's a fair price. Not great but okay. I'm sure you can find someone on here that will sell cheaper but if that's the only ones around then go for it. Looks at the ones that are stable and fat, buy those. If you can ask the shop owner to feed them so you can see their feeding habits and also take note on what they eat.
over here in the uk they cost £30 each at that size so its seems a good deal to me. i agree with snow - always no matter what fish you buy get the lfs to feed them in front of you so you can see them eat.
i'm in mount pleasant tx but i have to drive over to dallas to buy them. i'll call them and see if they still have some and try to get over there this weekend. thanks for the advice
