Saw this at a LFS and it was labeled as "ornate cichlisoma". Could find anything on that name was I was wondering if yall could ID.

I would guess ornatum cichlid, not sure what the scientific name is now, but search ornatum and you should get some info.

Agree either xCichlasoma ornatum, or gephyrum.
These get quite beautiful as they grow.
Below was one I had at about 7".

How are they size and temperment wise? I can't get anything now but I'm always finding new fish id like to add...

They can easily reach 12", but grow fairly slowly.
I kept mine with other similar size South American cichlids like Acarichthys heckelli, Crenicichla and Guianacara species without aggression issues in a 150 gal tank (6' footprint).
