ohio
my lfs can get me dats, but heres what they have...
"golden dat" $79
"silver dat" $30
"golden tiger dat" $20-25
"tiger dat" $30

i dont know much about dats, but of the 3 cheaper ones, which would be the best to get, and are all 3 slow growers?

how can golden tiger dat be cheaper than tiger dat? Impossible.

i'm just repeating what they told me ... they all sound the same to me, which is almost as confusing as the IT, ST, NTT ......

i just know i really like this guy :headbang2

i know i have seen dats in this store before when they had the "silver" and the "gold", but i've never seen the other 2 there. but usually if i ask them to get it, they will get it in a month or so

Out of all of those fancy names I'd be willing to bet that they are just different variations of Indo Tigers (IT) and Thinbars. The link that you added is a picture of an indo tiger that happens to have many bars on its sides as some indos have three big bars and resemble ST dats.

That's a golden dat......no wait, i mean that's a golden tiger dat.

They are all rather slow growers. You should refer to the stickies at the top of the page in order to familiarize yourself with the different dat types so that you can identify them yourself. That way you can wade through all of these fancy trade names.
