From my perspective in the U.S., as a subscriber to the U.K. publication Practical Fishkeeping , I am envious of the reviews and descriptions of U.K. fish stores that I read about in the magazine. It looks to me like there are many good shops across the country. It seems as though the status of the hobby is more vibrant in your country than ours. Sorry I can't offer any information regarding your question, but I'm sure you will get some good leads. I would describe the region of the U.S. in which I live as a tropical fish wasteland. It is not uncommon for me to drive 250-350 miles to visit what I would call a "decent" local fish store.
