so i went to a semi local store and found a pair of what was labelled as ocellaris pbass... both 6" or so, and eatin pellets !! and also a 4" silver arowana that eats pellets :) hahaha

now can anyone give a actual ID on them, they also have red eyes in certian light as well....i threw in a couple pellets this morning they went after them right away ! but spit em out lol ... he was feeding them hikari sticks i think ? i threw in NLS thought maybe they were too hard for em to eat but after they got water logged they just chew up and spit em out lol, also the arowana did the exact same thign but i think the 4.5mm pellets are a bit big for him so im gonna cut them in half for him and try him later again what should i do ? wait another day without feeding and then try my pellets again ? or wait 2 days or .... i dont wanna cave and start giving bloodworms or feeders to keep em fed lol... any help would be great guys thanks :)

Wait a couple days, theyre still settling in, they'll come around. Also, theyre tems, not ocell, IMO u scored if u paid ocell price.

yea LFS was feeding them frozen food, feeders, floating sticks or pellets.... and i got them for 30-40$ each, and were labelled as ocellaris they were the only two left... and told me i can get more if i want to just let them know apprently this store can get anything i want :) yea after i got home and saw them when they were trying to settle in i thought wow i think they maybe tems... but ya never know really.... they do have speckles on them here and there but also they have red eyes as well.... im pretty sure these are WC he said too as he said he has a "good WC supplier"

ya i kinda thought they were tems after seeing them in the tank... only thing is if they are tems i wont have abig enough tank to house em when fully grown as tems get massive lol .... should i aybe try giving them some talapia, or wait out a couple days to try feeding my NLS pellets ?

i did call the store and he was feeding some crappy no name brand pellet that his supplier said to try on some fish and see fi they liked it, he doesnt even sell it lol... and also said give em a couple days and they'll eat the pellets when there good and hungry....what you guys think ?

ya i gave in and fed them some talapia as i didnt like how skinny they looked either, they are nice and fat and full now.... yesterday when i picked them up they were ncie and fat too as they just ate, so you think i should pre soak the NLS pellets in just some tank water for 5 mins before feeding them ?

and as for the arowana he is in the tank with them i havent grabbed a pic of him yet...

but ya none the less i was happy with buying ocell for 30-40$ each, let alone scoring some tems lol, they have some really bright red eyes too hink there settling in more and more and colours are starting to really show (especially there red eyes)
