Post yours here including stupid customers.:D

I was at a lfs and a guy wanted to put a 3 foot aro and a HUGE porcupine puffer together in a 100 gallon. :banhim:
 
-A lady came in and said she had an oscar in a 30 gallon, and i told her it would outgrow it.
and she told me there is no way because she'd rather kill it. I felt like **** for telling her.

-A crazy lady followed me around while I was doing waterchanges telling me about snakes on a plane.
 
A couple weeks back we had a guy call and say he wanted to give us a 12" silver aro, 10" Royal clown knife, and 2 8" oscars. He brought them in and the aro was in a 24" cooler, and touched both ends, then knife was an inch or so away from touching both ends, and the oscars were 8".
 
-i was in a lfs i was talking to the owner and some lady came up and said "hi, can i purchase that tarpon?" i was like what size tank do you have she replied "20gal." i said to the owner dont sell it to her she budged in and said i will do what i very well please! and i was like im not letting you take that fish home to put it in a 20gal and even the owner was like yeah i am not going to sell you that untill you get a bigger tank the tarpon was over a foot long
 
me and a friend were at big als getting feeders and noticed a guy and his son just bought 3 small RTC's like 4", and i said "those are nice fish, but htey get big" and he reply'd "nah these they dont get big" then the guy that got my feeders were like "yea they do get BIG you should go on google and type in red tail catfish, they get a good couple of feet" and the guys mouth just dropped=)
 
I probably have more stories than you can count..

But I will never forget the guy who told me he was a fish expert because he bred his Archer fish.. he said it was about 2 feet long, in a 55g tank, and kept in Freshwater even though he knew it was a brackish water fish..

He than went on to explain to me about how he bred brackish Discus.

I just smiled and agreed..

i have so many stories about idiots that would come into my LFS

- guy had a 29 gallon SW tank with the stock hood. tried to grow coral, anenomes, had about 12 fish in there including a couple tang ( which is a big no no in small tanks )

- redneck mo fo always come in cursing up a storm asking for feeders for his oscars or puffers or who knows what. he also had a 55 gallon, but keept getting "more" of them. and new fish, however he never talked about what used to be in there. also claimed to have 8 full grown angels in a 55 that bred.

- kid wanting to put an oscar in a 10 gallon...O_o

i cant think of any other good examples right now but it never amazes me how dumb people can be when it comes to fish keeping
 
I read somewhere online about a woman that said she kept 14 red devils in a 30g tank. "Whenever they act bad they get chased with the net" she says. When exactly would that be?
