Lfs wolf fish scoop (baby aimara)

So correct me if I'm wrong but the black elongated dot on the rear of the hoplias gill plate, aimara? ( not to mention the size of his eyes are huge! like almost to the jaws )

If so, it may just be the best deal ever on a Sumatra, as I got him or her for 39.99 lmao

It was in a tank with a few others an as I've had 4 other wolf fish I tend to know what to look for, an let me say this one was different with the super large eyes an as I said the black dot on the hill plate

I'll post some pics later on but it's only 3.5 inches currently and already makes my black wolf look like a giant wimp ( can one say attitude problems lol)

That's what I was figuring, hmm may need to clear my pond lol, he's one mean sob an my arpunis catfish is way to intolerant to even try a community tank in a year or so ( just ate my 15 inch golden dorado, kinda pissed )

Gotta love it when the lfs haven't got a clue what they have

The apure cat isn't intolerant, you just need to put it with fish larger than itself not only in length but width, height, or girth as well. Predatory aggression and territorial aggression are two different things
 
Ok the girth wasn't there but the arpunis is only three inches longer an all tail, he won't mess with his plecos but guess he just didn't like the side passes the dorado would always take
 
Yea just tried to get a pic but he's in his hide out spot, I'll try again tomorrow during the day

So how many variety of aimara are there? I've heard of the blues an reds
