Here is a list of LFS in Tokyo and surrounding areas, that i have visited myself and a short description
of them...

East Africa
Tsugoshi, Warabi-city
Saitama-prefecture
http://www.info.eastafrica.jp/
Tlf:048-431-0610

A very nice shop with both FW and SW.
They have a big selection of monsters!
Not much in the way of “normal” fish!
They also carry a wide range of equipment.

Definitely worth a visit!

Kanedaisoka
Hanaguri, Soka-city
Saitama-Pref.
http://www.kanedaisoka.com/

One of my favourite shops
It is in two stories, first floor with fish, 2nd with tanks, filters and so on.
A big selection a monsters!
Highly recommended!

Aqua zone pure
Kamimuneoka, Shiki-city
Saitama-Pref.
http://www.aqua-station-pure.jp/
Tlf:048-474-1170

A store in two stories..
First floor is all SW, second is all FW.
A little out of the way and they don’t have a big selection of monsters,
rather they have more "normal" fish,
They also carry all the normal equipment.
Very healthy looking tanks and friendly staff.
Closed Thursdays and Fridays.

If your in the area, worth a visit.

Aqua zone
8th floor of Tobu department store in Ikebukuro

Rather small shop, with a limited selection of monsters.
Dosnt carry much in the way of equipment too and is quite expensive too..
But it is very easy to find and they do occasionaly have an interesting fish.
Also, they have a small selection of reptiles.

Not really recommend, but it is very convenient.

PD fish shop
Murashimurayama-city
Tokyo
http://www.pdnettaigyo.co.jp/
Tlf:042-563-1943

A large shop with a lot of tanks!
First floor is full of fish.
When I was there last time, they didn’t
have a huge selection of monsters but they did have some interesting species.
2nd floor if filled with tanks, filters and so forth

Highly recommended!

So, next time you happen to be in Tokyo, go take a look! :)

Feel free to add to this list!

Hey man, did you go to the warehouse behind the mainstore at PDs? They have a HUGE selection of Monsters there. i didnt know they had that building in the back the first time i went and was dissappointed. then when i found out about the back it quickly became my most frequent stop for fish..lol. That is also where their herps and salt water stock is.

Oh and next time you over at PD, keep heading northeast on 5 towards the Tropiland and about midway maybe 5km or so there is this shop
http://azumanettaigyo.com/
very small, but he is a breeder and has some suprising stock at times. has a cool store front too with some preserved gars and catfish. its very hard to find as it is in the middle of a residential area.

Forgot to add, this is nice of you to be posting stores like this as it can be difficult to find stores if you dont know your way around. Heres a link to how i found most of the stores i went to, just click on the picture of the "googlemap"

By the way, werent you interested in buying one of my Snakeheads last year?

:eek:..i didn't know that they had a back store!...i feel stupid..should have asked...ohh well next time i will check it out..thanks for that little bit of info!

and yes..i am the same guy...i really wanted to have that read snakehead, but i just couldn't give it the space it deserved.
