Alright, in anticipation of spring I am getting all my permits and licensing for doing the reptile exhibits at local schools and parties and such. Paperwork is filed with F&W department, got the taxes in and business license with the state....
now the only thing I need is liability coverage in the event that one of my animals could potentially cause injury to a person, or vise versa.
I have been emailing just about every insurance adjuster near me and have gotten the same reply from all of them stating they do not cover that type of thing.
For those of you on here that do any kinds of exhibits, shows, school visits, etc. in the US, where do you get coverage for this sort of thing?
I've found only a handful of providers that cover things like circuses and zoos, but I am not doing anything that large scale. Any info/help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you contacting actual adjusters or underwriters? There is a difference and I didn't know if you were just confusing the terms...

Underwriters are the actual people that form policies and know what their company can and can't offer. Just call around to all the major carriers and ask...your liability coverage would be similar to what a circus or zoo might carry, probably just a lot less costly.

Yeah, I was just confusing the terms there. I have gotten a hold of a couple that will be getting back to me later today. Thanks.
