I bought a 220 off CL almost 2 years ago and it came with everything but lids. Can't really complain because I got a complete setup with everything else for $250. So I got some lids cut out of plexi and thought the problem was solved. Well the plexi droops after about a week. and i have to keep flipping them and its a pain in the butt! It causes a couple of problems. Because I lack a hinged lid I have to run 3 24" lights so I can move one to open the plexi and lean it the wall. I want to get either 2 48" or a double 72" light strip but until I solve the lid problem I will remain poorly lit. Also I run a magnum 350 canister with the porit foam mod for extra bio and circulation. And having to flip the lids also means having to move the inlet and output for the magnum. And also I have a 18" fire eel (Doug) and as the lids droop I worry he will try and squeze out the gap. I have talked to a few glass shops, and none of them seemed interested in making me glass lids with the cut outs i needed. Anyone know where I can fine 2 lids that are 23.25"x24" and hinged? Or is there anything else I could do? the tank has 2 24" openings and a 24" center brace in the middle.
