I know it all depends on genes and lots of other factors but what is the life expectancy of a healthy flowerhorn? What's the oldest any of you have had one live for? Just curious ! Thank youuuu !

I've had many nice FH ! Take good care of them, clean water, good food. . . . . Unfortunately I only get three years out of them. Enjoy them while I have them tho!

What food do you feed them ? And what's the temp ? What is the adult's tank size ?

They have unfortunately been so inbred with so few new genes that most only live about three years, most produced now only grow to a small size unlike the earlier generations which often reached 12 to 14 inches (again likely a result of poor breeding practices)

Like most designer fish, they are bred strictly for their looks, and not for longevity. Average lifespan in todays FH is probably 4-5 yrs.
