So last night my pride and joy, the ebjd in my avatar passed away. He had quit eating the day before so I knew something was wrong. He looked rough yesterday morning, so I put him in my hospital tank hoping for the best, but fearing the worst. Despite my best effort he still died. I had him for almost three years. I raised him from 3/4" and I measured him last night and he was 7"TL on the dot. I am sad but he lived a happy life and I realize ebjd's are prone to sudden death. I checked water param's. Everything was perfect. No recent additions or changes. Sad sad sad
So my question is what should I get to replace my big boy? Tank is a 220 6x2x2.5. Stocklist is:
5" male GT
5" green severum
4" FM
4" Convict
12" fire eel
L001, L191, L052 pleco's (1 each)
55 gallon sump for filtration.
I don't want another EBJD, I want something more hardy. I want 1 or 2 CA/SA's. Any suggestions?
