Taking a look at how the unit is designed its hard to say. A typical submersible glass heater has a section with the heating coils and another area above that is where any type of clamp/suction cups go. This is where all the electronics are. Most times they are marked to not mount anything below where the coils are. The Pentair unit seems to seal up around the top area of a glass heater where it is cooler and where those electronics are located.
If you have a titanium heater with an external controller does it heat the entire length of the heater? If so you probably will not be able to use it with this system. Does the heater have instructions as to safe place to apply any clamps or suction cups?
