Being new to saltwater I researched various filtering methods for about a year and settled on the Rainbow LifeGard Modular Filtration System with Custom Flow Setup for my 90 gallon FOWLR tank. Some things I wished I had know before purchasing.
The 4000HH Quite One pump that Rainbow recommends, I feel doesn't have quite enough umph to get the job done. Maybe an upgrade from the 4000HH to the 5000 or the 6000 just to help move the water some more would have been nice to know.
Also, once I attached all of the Custom Flow parts together and had it running, I realized I had the horizontal discharge bar pointing on a 45 degree and down into the tank instead of up towards the surface, thus aiding in surface movement. Now I have two powerheads at the surface to help move the surface.
Oh well, life goes on.
