I just got a 300g tank and I was planning on using a lifegard fluidized bed filter and an oceanclear inline filter with uv sterelizer. my Question is have any of you used these filters before and how well did they work for you? Im planning on a silver aro, tigrinus, L25 pleco, and two motoro rays so do you think this would work :headbang2 or not :swear: ?

I hear the LFB filters are super for bio, should would out very well for you an your fish.

I have one on my tank really easy to set up and use but they will cut down on water flow because you have to adjust the valve in the top to stop all the sand from bieng pushed out

is it easy to adjust the valve?

Any one else use these filters with sucess

Its easy to adjust the valve, it just turns at the top.

I have the FB600 on a 125g and a FB300 on a 100g. They are great bio-filters and the space they take up is minimal. I use a AC prefilter with an AC powerhead, the one where you can adjust the flow so I have the valve on the FBF fully open. The large bacteria colonies use up alot of the saturated O2 so youll have to make sure your water is nice and aerated. You'll also want to get another filter like a canister or some HOB's that do mechanical filtration, as the FBF's are purely biological.

I was going to use it inline with my filstar xp3 and two inline heaters.
