Has any got any experiences with these filters? I'm considering grabbing one to up my bioglogical filtration or should I just grab some k1 or something like that instead? ANY kind form of input on these filters would be great thanks in advance!
I tried one for a while was a pain in the *** to get the flow just right. Then if the power went off I had to re-adjust the flow again.I tried plumbing it inline then from the top ports. I finally ended up filling it up with pergen, then gave up on it.
I've had the FB900 and 2 of the FB300's they sold on Dr Fosters.. I've had great luck with mine and have been running them on my big tanks for the past 5 years.. I run my current one that's rated for 300 gallons (FB300) on my 300 ray tank with a Quiet One 1200 pump. I do have a ball valve between the pump and the bed filter to keep the flow adjusted..
Thanks for the replies. I've heard the same responses from a couple of other people and just needed to hear more experiences with this product. You think if I run a separate powerhead or small pump with a valve would ease the desired flow? Thanks again!
