Lifegard Inline Systems for the 700gl?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
700g, wow..
That is going to be a project.
A tank that size makes even the simple things difficult.
Just a water change becomes a BIG deal.

Lifeguard is pretty cool idea, but not worth the extra money for the convenience of the top loading filter housings, my opinion.
Whole house water filters do exactly the same thing at a much better price and locally available filter cartridges.
But I wouldn`t even consider either for a tank that size.

Are you looking to have your filtration in the stand?

Sorry to jump back in, but it occurred to me, something that substantial…
Do you still call it a stand?
Around 5,000+ lbs of just water should be called something better.
You might take a look at some of the commercial water filtration offerings.

Has some pretty cool stuff.
Other than that, I would probably be looking at some of the swimming pool filters.
Good luck

Great stuff - thx, yes I'm having a stand (welded frame) built from either a local friend or Tenecor - Tenecor charges $1,700.00:irked: for an 8x30x30 and expect it to hold over 7k lbs.

I'm looking around to see what I can do besides a wet/dry system that will be as efficient as possible. The one above was 4,500 gph which is the minimal rate that I'd want to do.

Thanks for your comments.
