no bro., here in the philippines flowerhorn are very popular., some of my friends have lots of flowerhorn., i mean very LOTS!! and the oldest of them is arround 7 y/o and i myself have a flowerhorn 4 y/o but died recently due to nationwide electrical blockout..
 
my buddy is a flowerhorn guru. currently housing a 13yr old flowerhorn. don't kno how long they live, but his is still alive, big, fat, so old its almost plain looking now.

i woulda thought that theyy'd have a long lifespan, like 15 years...both red devils, trimacs and midas all have long lifespans yea?

probably longer then we can look back n imagine, old asian people see these fish as good luck and admire the color of flowerhorns. i can see them as far back as possibly the 60s atleast possibly longer. and i cant see why a flowerhorn wouldn't live 20+ years as long as its takin care of properly. i wouldn't be surprised if it lived 30+
 
On flowerhornusa.com, I've read they live average around 4 years due to the inevitable, getting pumped up on color enhancing, plus being hybrid and all. Correct me if im wrong.
