lifespan???

15+ years is not uncommon and I believe 23 years is the current record-Anne
 
From what I've read here they're very long lived. 34 yrs was the max I'd heard, though I'd suspect that was a public aquarium. Expect at least 10-15 yrs (+??) in the home aquarium under good conditions.

Have you looked at this site? I seem to recall they mention lifespan.

The site that Anne posted probably has the most complete infos on bichirs there is on the net. Everyone who owns a bichir or thinking of owning should read it. I highly recommend it :thumbsup: .
