light fixture help please!

i bought a tank and the owner gave me a free light fixture but it doesnt turn on. i tried a new bulb. do u guys know if i bring it to homedepot if theyl be able to fix or find out whats wrong with it?

Not sure about you guys in the US, but does the plug itself have a fuse that could have burned out?

What kind of fixture is it?
 
Honestly there's not a way to tell unless you open it up and start testing . Could be exactly what was listed above.

Also maybe the "starter" that little circle fuse that's in the fixture may of blown as well.

it came with my seaclear 50.
is there any way i can buy a new housing and put it on the hood? what exactly should i look for?
