light length to tank ratio

whats a good uv light strip to tank ratio?
like for my baby tegu ima use a 48" tank. i was planning on using a 18" light strip. would this be okay or should i got bigger? i can do:
16"
18"
24"
30"
or 36"
just wondering if it makes a difference. uvb bulb is prolly gonna be a reptisun 10.0 but if someone out there has a better light suggestion, lemme know too.

I don't think it matters as long as the UVB is next to the basking bulb as it will spend a lot of time there.
