Light on 5 hour ok ?

I have a 150 gal and run 1.92 wats per gal .
How long do the lights need to be on for , sward plants and other comman plants ?

I wold like to have the light off most of time .

8 hours is about the minimum, if you want the plant to stay healthy and green. Photosynthesis isn't an easy process, and takes time.

Why would you want your lights off most of the time? I'm probably guilty of having my lights on for too long cause i love checkin out my fishies!

8hr Is Cool . I am not home most of the day , I know my fish like it dark , so if I am to
run My lights 8hr " LIke you recomend " . Than I would like to do it Only for the 8rh
I am home , That way my fish and me are happy .

I leave mine on for about 16-18 hrs.

Mine are on 11 hrs. they come on in the morning for 5 hrs then go off in the middle of the day then come back on for another 6 in the afternoon. That way I don't have too much light and I can enjoy them when I'm home.
