What flourescent light specs would be ok for all types of plants? color temp,lumens,etc...im sure the wattage would be "the more the merrier" does the 10000k(bluesky) would overpower the 6500k(noonlight) in terms of power growing the plant?can you give me advice:confused: im working on it in a 50 gallon without CO2,is it possible for me to have a carpeted tank?thats my only goal:confused: :( BTW what low light plant would carpet my tank? I like to build a meadow effect

Low light, and low carpet don't go together well. As far as the lighting issues, read the stickies. Wattage is important to watch dependent on what you have for the type of lighting. It also is important to have co2 after about 3-4 wpg of any type of lighting. 10000K vs 6500K, the 6500K is generally better for the plants.
