ok so this to me looks like a good deal. but to good lol. i have a 240 that needs some good lighting for plants. my wife also has a small green house an she had a 600 watt metal h an it did wounders. would this work for an aquarium planted or even growing house plants. or would it need a better bulb. the seller also said he would toss in a few extra bulbs an a 6 foot cord for 35. thanks for any help. just curious as it seems to be a good deal. but dont know much about lights.

IDK if they would work or not, but for 25 mere bucks your not really breaking the bank in any way shape or form.

lol true. id have him turn on to make sure,

It would work but those fixtures look huge. I say get two of them and place the tank in the greenhouse so both the fish and plants can get the benefits from the light. Depending on how old the bulbs are, there might be a color shift from the specs on the bulb. I'm thinking they might be 5500K bulbs so it might end up be a bit more yellow than you like. You could always convert it into a DIY MH hood :)
