hey everyone recently i got a 180 gallon tank to house my silver arowana, bichir, bala shark and a java fern. i was wondering what kind and type of light everyone is using.

I use led on my 180 took off compacts just to bright and costs less to run led's and more choices now. Do not want to do anything wrong here so I will not post my website that I sell LED'S and aquarium lighting on. Does anyone know how to let others know about e-commerce sites designed for fish people. I would love to tell all about my site but do not want to do it wrong and get kicked from here. Have a few monster fish myself and like talking to others.

Do you manufacture the lights or reseel from a supplier? I would PM one of the mods to see what you can and can't do.

yeah i would love a t5 but if you dont have the cash like me i use just basic aquarium florescent light hood and bulb looks fine to me im planning on getting some moon lights soon tho so i can see my catfish at bight crusing the tank ahha good luck

I use a couple 4 foot strip lights from Home Depot. Yeah, really. :) They look nice and work well. Very ugly though, but I'm building a cover soon so that's not an issue.

What kelvin rating do you use? I've heard the 6500K look the best for aros.
