hey I have a 20 gallon tank that I would like to setup planted. trying to find a decent priced light that I could put on top of it that would be able to grow dward baby tear or maybe dwarf grass . it's only about a foot deep and 30 inchs long so I want to imagine that it would not need anything too crazy I've been doing some looking around have not really found anything that has caught my eye other than 1 that was $45 but it had horrible reviews and I guess they don't make the lamps for it anymore. so if anyone could give me an idea of what light I need it would be very appreciated. I would like to not spend a ton.
Thanks

just realized I'm probably going to need to get a 24 inch light I think I found one

Depends on the dimensions of the whole tank, but i would guess with a 2 or 3 bulb T5-HO unit you should be able to grow baby tears etc... Given the right substrates and all that are used accordingly :)

^ thats the spirit... Then once you have the 55 up you can upgrade the 20 to another 50+ ;)

just ordered a light! 2x 24w t5ho. what's a good temperature to keep the tank at to minimize water evaporation and keep fish/plants healthy. Plants will be dwarf baby tears and some type of grass. Fish will probably just be some Danios
