Going to set one up pretty soon; I currently have 3 Eheim 2028 on my 100 which I am upgrading to 300. I wonder if I had 2 more Eheim 2028 equivalent canisters(I am thinking the large jebo filled with bio filter material, would it be sufficient for the setup.

Also, I think I will go for LED lighting. THe tank is prob going to be a Malawi Hap tank, I am thinking marinland's double bright LED system. Would you recommend 2 36 to 48 LED fixtures or 2 48 to 60 inch LED fixtures...The tank is going to be the typical 96x24x30 dimension.

Thanks

id go with a sump on a tank that big, as for lighting the doublebrights should serve their purpose very well.

Yes, I believe sump is better, except that 1) I am all thumbs 2) I already have 3 eheim 2028s around each rated for 160 gallons. I like to double the filter capacity so my think is the cheapest thing to do is just add one or two more canisters.
