I should point out that I have at least a dozen other BeamsWork and MarineLand LED tank fixtures and probably others as well. My previous experience w/ BeamsWork is that they made a nice light. This current version though is far outside the realm of anything they'd produced prior though.
Is there something I don't like about it? Yep.
The instructions on how to program the digital timer they sell that plugs into the end of the fixture is rough at best and initially seems like two pages of nonsense. Here's an excerpt:
Operating Instruction:
Once Timer connect with DC12V-24V Power supply, it initialism all data, and digit number on LCD screen will run through 0 to 9.
After Timer initialized it work in Normal Mode by default, and LCD screen shown 12:00
Press "HOUR" directly to turn light source "A" ON or OFF, Press "MINIUTE" at the same time. Timer will work in Programming Mode, once time digit blinking on LED screen, no ready to setting present time. Keep press "HOUR" to set hour, keep press "MINUTE" to set minute. Present time will be confirmed and back to Normal Mode after 5 seconds.
Programming time for light source group "A", controlled by "HOUR" button Under Normal Mode, Press "HOUR" for 5 seconds, Timer work in light source "A" time programming "ON" mode.
Oddly, the fixture has a single three position rocker switch on one end and it toggles between blue night light > off > full brightness. When you plug the timer in though you will see that there is at least one other setting that is not accessible through the rocker switch. You can plan on tossing the instructions when you get the fixture and goofing around w/ it for a few cycles through the apparent options to figure it out on your own. It can't be too tough as there are only a few things that fixture and timer combo can do but you're not going to dig two pages of the above nonsense. Outside of that it's an outstanding fixture.
