Guys
I bought a coralife colormax bulb for my 29 tall and it's too faint. What do you guys suggest? It's bare bottom with a single fish but I can barely see it with the light on

powerglo 1800k

I realixed that the hood i'm using is really old like 7 years, does the age of the hood matter? Basically do i need a new hood or just a new light bulb?

i bought the power glo and it made a huge difference thanks!

i do like those moon lights

Question: Do fish need a UV light or just plain everyday flourescent lights? I am stocking my newly made tank with 9 RBPs and I am a fish noob.

Using a UV probably isn't good for them. Regular fluorescents are fine. In fact less is probably more, since they naturally live in murky water and probably wouldn't be as happy with extremely intense/bright light.
