as the title looking for advice on lighting would like leds to keep the cost on running down the depth of the tank is 3 foot would like to know if leds would cut it ie with the depth and if so what ones would be best to bring out the best in the fish

Yeah, those ebay lights are more suited for saltwater, with the 10K and blue. The 6500 floodlights would be better, and would penetrate, something with RGB bulbs would bring out your fishes colors better.

I am a huge fan of the finnex 24/7 personally. So many customization options, and very low power consumption from a reliable brand. They are not high intensity lights, but they will make it to the bottom of your tank.

I bought two chandeliers and par 38 bulbs. My tank is 30" deep. I think bass would definitely prefer areas of light and shadow
I will post pics from my phone shortly

Here is what they look like
Also the wife is happy with good looking fixtures in the dining room
The red really stands out in the photo for some reason
