I recently got a deal on CL on a 6' 125G. I am currently in the process of gathering supplies for it. I have a 48" 2 bulb flourescent strip and I also have two old 24" flourescent single strips. I am thinking about mounthing these three lights in the canopy that I am going to build for the 125. do yall think this will be enough lighting? If not what should I do? I know that would make the canopy kinda heavy but, I intend to have two doors on the front for feeding. The only time i would have to open the canopy would be to do water changes. what do all think?
thanks in advance.

those leds are awesome buy, i have the 10W ones and they will pay for them selves in savings so quick

Thanks for the replies. that gives me some ideas. I might just grab another 24" dual strip and throw it on there.

led are nice but i still would wait if you are planning on plants or corals until the spectum is proven to hold true for 2+years. if your not there nice but, what do you plan on keeping?

oh wow I thought I put all that info in there. must have been brain dead! I plan on keeping my big jag and several other south american cichlids. I wont have any plants in the tank just because my cichlids love to rearange the substrate and the fake plants that are in there now.
