Lighting for a 180gal non reef

I'm doing a non reef 180gal. Would I use 2- 36" lights for this? I take it if I did, I would need to spin the left one arond so the exhaust fan would blow to the left instead of into the light unit that's sitting to the right of it? Is that correct?

Could you set one light slightly forward of the other ?

i dont think it will really matter but i would have them set so the fans are not fighting each other...

What 36" lighting runs the quietest? Any thoughts.
