I have a 125 gallon tank and i just added a rose bubble tip anenome. I have a 72'' t5 light fixure with 8 bubbles and a 36'' LED light fixure. It's hard to explain the lighting set-up but my t5's are at the back of the tank and the LED's are at the front (only way to hang them from my canopy). The anenome found his spot under the LED light fixure and it isn't getting any light from the t5 because of the rock it is coneccted to shades it. Is the LED lighting enough light for the anenome for should I try and move it? The LED is a corallife fixure with 16 bubbles.

I figured if the lighting wasn't enough it would have moved but it has been in the same spot for 2 week....

It opens up and eat fine. The color just insn't a bright as it was under the MH lights the person I bought it from had.

Hmm...Not so sure about that LED fixture.

The nem will find the place it likes best. If it seems healthy, it probably is. Dont stop feeding it though.

If its not getting what it needs...it should let you know. My .02

The reason its not as bright as it was under MH is because the metal halides are more intence, therefore the anemone produces more zooxanthellae to A) use the light more effectively, and B) to help prevent damage to their cells from the intence light. So in conclusion the nem can do fine under those conditions but if you want them to brighten up you will have to either increase light intenisty, or get some high blues in as the UV light stimulates zooxanthellae growth as well.
