Lighting for Discus

Hey guys,
I was wondering what is the best lighting for discus. I have a 75 gallon w/ about 15 tetras, 3 discus (more coming soon), and about 4 clown loaches. I currently have a 48 inch single strip light w/ a bulb from wal-mart. Any suggestions?

Unless you plan to keep live plants I don't think the discus will mind. I think what your really asking is what lights will make my discus look their best? I'd go with a 10K.

thanks Westie. What about if i do end up putting live plants? What do u suggest? I saw a brand Catalina, know anything about them.

I have 110w of HO t5 lighting over my 75g discus tank. I can grow a wide range of plants and the fish colors are popping.
