I bought my 220g (72"x24"x30") tank secondhand, and it came with a light (specifically, a Fluval aquasky), but the previous owner of the tank must not have had live plants, because the light is proving dreadfully insufficient. So, I'm looking to buy some better lights. I've done a bit of research, and I'm sort of interested in LED floodlights. I'm looking for advice regarding choosing a specific model, and/or suggestions of models that people have had positive experiences with. Or, alternately, if anyone reading this thinks LED floodlights would be a poor choice for my tank, suggestions of what lighting type you think would be a better choice.

I just ordered a 180G, 24x24x72...so i am looking for lighting suggestions via the search box. Came across your thread and i too am looking for an LED solution. I am going to run plants and geophagus, and i was looking into the Fluval aquasky. I was considering 36" model x2, so im assuming you do not recommend! Have you found anything yet?
